The Big Bopper. Mr. Bass man

Jiles Perry Richardson, más conocido como The Big Bopper, fue un cantante estadounidense. Nació en Sabine Pass (Texas). El 3 de febrero de 1959, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens y el propio The Big Bopper viajaban en avioneta tras un concierto en Surf Ballroom (Clear Lake, Iowa, USA), hacia Dakota del Norte donde iban a tocar al día siguiente. El aparato cayó a las 1.00 sobre Mason Counry. Murieron los tres músicos y también el piloto. The Big Bopper murió a los 28 años, dejando atrás a su esposa embarazada de su segundo hijo, Jay, y un legado que nunca termina. Jay nacería 84 días después de la muerte de su padre. El cuerpo de Jiles fue llevado a Beumont por un avión privado para ser enterrado. Después del funeral, la calle fue copada por fanáticos mirando la procesión de autos yendo hacia el cementerio. Jiles Perry Richardson fue enterrado el 5 de febrero de 1959.
