Ritchie Valens. Come on, let's go

Ricardo Esteban Valenzuela Reyes fue un cantautor y guitarrista de origen mexicano nacido en Estados Unidos; un pionero del rock and roll y un precursor del movimiento chicano de rock. Aunque la carrera de Valens sólo duró ocho meses, se anotó varios éxitos, en particular, "La Bamba", que originalmente es una canción popular mexicana de son jarocho que Valens transformo con un ritmo de rock y convirtió en un éxito en 1958, haciendo de Valens un pionero del movimiento de rock and roll de habla hispana.
El 3 de febrero de 1959, en lo que se conoce como El Día que Murió la Música, Valens murió en un accidente de avión en Iowa, un evento que cobró la vida de los también músicos Buddy Holly y J.P "The Big Bopper" Richardson.
